About Our Work

Port City Studios LLC is a design management and consulting partnership that provides its clients with a broad scope of design-based services– from identity design and websites, to interior design and product design– as well as experience in community-driven and environmentally responsible development. Port City Studios excels in designing creative solutions to complex problems, emphasizing the physical, social, historic and economic context of our work.

The goal is to produce creative and often innovative work that meets the needs of our clients without losing sight of the places and people around where we are working. During the creative process and beyond a project’s completion, we delight in finding meaningful ways to engage artists, community leaders, youth, and the public at large. In every project, there are opportunities for social, economic, and environmental enrichment, without sacrificing important pragmatic concerns such as cost, ease of use, delivery, maintenance, and message clarity. We start the creative process by listening closely to our client to identify needs, organize information, and prioritize goals. This sets the parameters within which our ideas begin to take shape. Our workforce is scalable, with a large network of architects, designers, craftspeople, and artists that we can bring in during the creative and implementation phases of a project.
